Comments: So beautiful! I love the emotions that come out of this photo! This photo is so soft with just the right balanced amount of white and grey tones. The pose is high fashion but also gorgeous for being in nature. I love the subtle makeup choice as well. I also like how it looks like Analeigh is emerging from behind the bushes and vines as well. The only thing is, I which those leaves weren’t along her chin because I think they look a little awkward. The photo would still be beautiful and fitting in with the requirements had those leaves not been there. But nevertheless, beautiful photo!

Comments: Beautiful and so creative! I absolutely love your idea and the set. The dress is beautiful as is the rest of her styling (I might have liked to see a little more in the makeup but that is okay). I love the soft grey tones as well, they are such a nice touch to this photo and idea. I think the set is beautifully done. I love Analeigh’s pose but I am not loving her hubbie’s pose. I do wish he had a little more of a sneaky pose—after all he snuck in on his wife when she was trying out her wedding dress! And the only other thing, is to be completely honest, I didn’t know she was looking at herself in a mirror until you said it. Maybe if you were looking at Analeigh from behind and into the mirror then it would look more obvious. But other than that, beautiful photo!

So this round we were assigned two assignments at once because Elastic (the host) had to leave for a vacation, I believe? Yeah.

The first assignment was to do like a geometric type photo with little to no grey shades and then the other was to choose a country and then display its fashion.

Comments: Awesome! This photo definitely reminds me of a mime!!! I think the pose is very high fashion as is the makeup. The hairstyle is also very fitting with the assignment and the theme of high fashion. I like the clothes and all the patterns. The patterns all fit together and it doesn’t look too confusing—it’s actually hypnotizing in a good way! I realized though, that Analeigh’s thighs are cut in half. LOL she is missing the lower part of her thighs and it looks like she is just floating in the air without legs XD (BTW, this is on her right leg). Great job otherwise!

Comments: Wow! This is my favorite photo so far in the competition! You did a superb job with the set and the styling. I love how the photo looks so soft and welcoming. The windmill is excellent, the clothes are perfect, the tulips are beautifully placed/edited in (honestly I can’t’ even tell if the tulips are edited in). May I ask, where did you get the dress? Or did you edit it all together? I also love the hair and the little hat/bonnet Analeigh is wearing. To be completely honest, I don’t have any complaints XD

So ended up getting first place! Yay! And I did work pretty hard for this assignment, especially the world fashion one (phew, so much editing!) But yeah.

I’m sorry I’m so behind on posting these! Right now we are on the 7th assignment, haha, yeah. Plus school right now which I’ll post about later when I have the time.

My Summer So Far . . .

So I haven’t been posting much on this blog and I want to make it up with this post! My summer so far as been pretty good! In June I went to the beach and then just recently I have been to Canada, which was a lot of fun. For my trip to the beach, my sister and I invited along a mutual close friend of ours, Bella. I haven’t told you guys about her but she is my sisters age but since my sister and I are really close, I have spent a lot of time with Bella as well so we are also really close. Anywho, during the trip we went swimming a lot and had icecream and it was fun! I also have some piccys down below I took to share with you guys.

We had to do a haute couture photo (which I suck at because I don’t understand it) and the twist is that the shadows have to be strong and dramatic. But however bad I might be at styling haute couture, I still like how my photo turned out ignoring the requirements for the assignment.

Comments: Amazing Dana! The pose is so high fashion and I love the angle of the camera. You really nailed the usage of gray tones. I see you are like the only one who included dramatic shadows but I think you could’ve included some of those shadows on Analeigh’s body as well. I also think she could have more high fashion makeup. In addition, the clothes are definitely not High fashion Haute Couture so that lost you some points as well. But other than those things, a truly lovely image!

I received third place! Which I have to admit is pretty good due to the other entries you guys haven’t which are amazing. But I did my best! The third assignment has already been posted same for the fourth because they were posted at the same time since the comp host, Elastic, is leaving on a vacation. I’ve already completed my third assignment and I am currently working on the fourth. So yup! :3

Through the Lens: Modeling Competition

Heeey everyone, so since its the summer I have some extra time to join a comp and so I decided to join this one on Unbound. It’s called Through the Lens and it’s hosted by Elastic. The comp’s theme is black and white high fashion. I decided to enter one of my favorite models, Analiegh. The sign ups closed on Sunday (the 7th) and before we could officially start there was a mock assignment which was a natural black and white headshot. And if it got over 14-15 entries there would be an elimination based on the mock assignment. So here is my entry and the results.

Comments: Analeigh is too stunning for words to describe! The pose is perfect and has a hint of seductiveness with her soft and pouty lips. The eye contact is perfect and the lack of major makeup and simple hairstyle are perfectly perfect and meeting the requirements. Lovely! The only thing is, parts of her shoulder and neck are just a little too sharp and pointy for such a soft and lovely photo as this one. Excellent start!

Comments: This is probably my favorite photo from this round! It is true raw beauty! You’re model looks gorgeous and Beaver, those eyes are gorgeous and she’s smizing too! It also has a very beautiful and natural look while remaining within a high fashion elemant because of the positioning and just her gorgeous face angle! My one problem was the overlapping eyelashes. It just looked like there were 2 layers of eyelashes, going to different ways.

So I got first! That’s a great way to start since there are some experienced simmers in the comp too (Beech for example, who runs Sensation magazine.) I’m not very good at high fashion but this is a great way for me to get better at it. The first assignment was already posted and I’ve already finished it. The assignment was to do a Haute Couture bodyshot or waist up shot, but we had to include dark and dramatic shadows. You guys will see it when the scores have been posted. C:

Once Upon A Time: Cycle 3

 

So, my simmer friend, Whisk, and I have been working on this comp cycle for while now and we finally launched it! I know I’m a little late on posting this but there are still spots open for you all to join. But first what is this comp about?

Once Upon a Time is story-telling fairy tale comp. Usually in the previous cycles, what you had to do was that for each assignment there was fairy tale chosen and then you would take picture. This time we are kicking it up a notch! This time you will be telling us the story!

You get to chose a well known fairy tale from a list Whisk and I compiled and then also give a twist. But from there you decide how things go and its up to you to be creative!

Each assignment will be a chapter in which you will be required to take a photo of a certain period in your story (introduction, climax, etc) and adding a description as well. You will be putting together a full story until the end of the competition. It will be a non elimination competition this cycle, meaning everyone will be get to finish their story, however your cumulative points will not solely decide the winner. Rather than submitting your model you will be submitting your main character.

I’m Home Free!

Hey everybody!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on this blog of mine so I felt like I should get working on that. First of all, today was my last day of school, and you know what that means? It means I’m home free!! Honestly, for some reason it doesn’t feel like it’s the last day of school for me. It’s like I’ll wake up tomorrow morning and I’ll start getting ready for school and then I’ll realize that my parents and my sister are still sleeping. The realization that summer has started will probably hit me near the end of July. lol. yeah. Maybe its because my school doesn’t do anything special to celebrate the end of the year and I didn’t go to Prom so I don’t know. Yeah, not much I can do about that. But I am happy and very much relieved that it’s all over.

So now that school is over I have soo much more free time! Because of this I am going to be co-hosting this fairy tale comp (more details later!) with a fellow simming friend of mine. Right now we are making all the headers and such and ahh!!! I just can’t wait to launch it! I hope you all decide to join, it will be so much fun! :3

With the coming of summer I hope to be able to update this blog a little more often than I have this past year. However, I do want to spend my time in the sun and not on the computer all day. And honestly guys . . I’m out of shape. Not like morbidly out of shape but the kind of out of shape where if I run up the stairs super fast I’ll start panting. haha. yeah. not funny.

Also, during the last weak of school I’ll be going on a vacation to the beach (I will not specify where exactly for I don’t want any creepy stalkers finding me) and I can’t wait! In celebration of this occasion I bought some new bikinis and tankinis for me to wear from Target! My old ones were to small on me so I had to get some new ones. But enough of that. I hope that you guys are having a somewhat enjoyable day and I wish you all a great summer!!
